Three steps. Each ends in writing, in your hands before the next step is decided.
The three steps

- 2Build the plan (plan development)
- 3Get it going (consultation and implementation)
A referral can start from a new idea, an existing plan (the person's own or one taken over from someone else), or a business or plan that needs a reset.
What you receive
- Feasibility study: what we found and what we suggest. Go ahead, reshape or redirect.
- Plan development: a business plan broken down task by task, set up in working business tools (customer system, scheduling, bookkeeping), and what we suggest on launching.
- Consultation and implementation: short written updates as the first steps are taken, and a written summary at the end.
Assistive technology, where needed, is a separate service with its own referral. We cross-reference it with the plan so the two fit.
The decision at each step is yours and the person's.
Starting hours
These are guidance. You set the hours for each referral, and any change is as you approve.

How to refer
- Email [email protected] and ask for the small business referral form. We send it to you directly.
- Return it the way your office sends referrals, with any testing or evaluations you have.
- We confirm in writing and schedule once your approval is in place.
The form goes to VR staff only. It is not posted on this site.
In person and online
In-person meetings are part of every step. Between them, remote work is encouraged where it fits and you, the person and Adaptive Enterprises LLC agree, because many people starting a business find it faster.
